Jennifer Edwards Invited to Speak at American Bar Association National Meeting

Wheatridge, Colo., August 2, 2011; FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Animal Law Center is happy to announce that Jennifer Edwards, lawyer and founder, has been invited to speak to members of the American Bar Association (ABA) at the organization’s annual meeting to be held in Toronto, Canada, August 4-9, 2011.

Edwards’ presentation titled, “Service Dogs and Breed Discrimination” will highlight The Animal Law Center’s civil lawsuit against the cities of Denver and Aurora over their bans on the use of restricted breeds as service animals. The lawsuit contends that the bans violate the Americans with Disabilities Act and seeks the elimination of the cities’ breed bans on service dogs and a permanent injunction to secure the ADA rights of the case plaintiffs.

Edwards’ panel is scheduled for Friday, August 5, 2011:
